Help for Exchange Search
Search on area code and exchange

The exchange is the first three digits after the area code. For instance, in the phone number (123) 456-7890, the exchange is 456. You would enter 123-456 to search for locations nearest this exchange. An exchange usually covers a small geographical area, so it provides a more accurate location than its area code.

Acceptable formats

The following formats are acceptable for area codes and exchanges:

  • 123-456
  • (123) 456
  • 123/456

A full phone number using any of these formats, such as (123) 456-7890, is also acceptable, although the last four digits are ignored.
